Moving to Kansas
My life in 2024 felt like the tornado above, in a comical sense only. As many of you know I lived in Vermont where I placed my home up for sale, a few months later it sold, packed up, moved out, and landed day after my birthday, 4/28/2024. Unpacked, set up, and almost 2 months later we opened the shop! Had a lot to learn with that espresso machine but Casey Malcom was a blessing for sure. Heck I didn't even know what a latte was until I bought this place! Then God later brough me two amazing young teens, Claire and Chylynn, to help run the shop; Austin and Paeton to take Gabriel to the lake when I cannot. If you don't know who Gabriel is, he is the love of my life outside of my kids. There's a story behind him and a story how I came to Kansas as well. Feel free to ask me anytime you stop in!
Gabriel has really enjoyed our new home and the people we have met. However, poor Gabe had to adjust to several new experiences:
Learning to walk on a leash....or not, still!
Walking on pavement and adjusting to walking over a grate with out jumping.
Adapting to life in a small city, as opposed to the 13 acres and a river where he grew up.
Adapting to Feivel, the kitten, I got him as I can't handle another dog!
So I just wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has made us feel welcome, support the shop, and look forward to many more years to come, and many more people to meet.
Thank you from Kirsten, Gabriel, Feivel, and oh, Nana too!
